Phimosis Treatment Options

• Manual Stretching
  • Involves gentle pulling the foreskin back and forth over the glans

  • Adding a steroid like betamethasone significantly increases likelihood of the foreskin being pulled back and forth  over the glans

  • The use of a steroid can reduce the inflammation, however, the skin becomes very thin due to the steroid and the risk of cutting or tearing increases significantly.
